Proposals are sought for projects that will expand the range and applications of radiocarbon analyses in global-change and ocean-science research. The primary objective is to encourage the development of new techniques or research directions. Each will be supported with up to 20 free analyses of radiocarbon. There are no deadlines for submission of proposals. Evaluation will be based on the scientific significance of the proposed work, its novelty, and on the likelihood that a given project will lead to further, funded research. Interested investigators should begin by sending a three-to-five sentence description of their initiative to wjenkins@whoi.edu. Inquiries will be held in confidence and reviewed only within NOSAMS.
